Nokia 5110 type LCD display on a PICAXE...   We had the opportunity recently to interface a Nokia style LCD display to a PICAXE.  We learned quite a bit in the process and decided to make it available in a more general form.  We came up with two different but related methods of using a PICAXE to put text messages on one of these handy little displays.  One method is easier to use, the other uses less memory.  We also put these two methods into program template form.  A formatted program template provides a structured means to build your final program, with specific areas set aside for definitions, main logic and subroutines.  Using program templates is all about making the prototyping process more robust and repeatable.   For more detail on what we did, go to our Projects page, or click on the image below.
